Overview

Starting with a hike among sandstone fins, this adventure leads you up steep climbs to the beautiful Longbow Arch. Experience some of the best canyoneering on this tour in Bow and Arrow Canyon: named after the arch and the famous dog named Arrow. Adventure down four different rappels ranging from 15ft to 80ft and get a closeup view of petroglyphs left by the Ancestral Puebloans. There is even an opportunity to see fossilized dinosaur tracks. Detailed rappelling instruction and a back-up safety systems allows intermediate level adventurers to get a chance to experience this exciting activity. Insights into the geology, plant life and natural history provide a depth to your adventure. It is recommended to have a strong hiking background in order to do this trip. Sustained hills on the hike may be difficult for some individuals, but previous rappelling experience is not required.
